Got my client who wasn’t paying me to pay me, so that’s a win for July.  But, in bigger news, I’ve decided to just wrap the whole thing up and try something else.  I’ve been doing this for a year, and truth be told, I really don’t like it.  It looks like with the money I still have coming in I should be able to make it to the end of the year, and start turning off some of the bigger expenses, like my subscription to CEB and insurance.  I’ll keep my website up and running, but I don’t expect much in the way of other expenses except for post office box (so I don’t have to publish my home address), and taxes.  I think I should be able to make it with what I have and what’s currently in the pipeline.

Overall, since I started the business, I’m only $43 away from breaking even, which I guess is a win all on its own.  I’m a bit sad that we spent over $7,000 and I didn’t pay that back to the family coffers.  This turned out to be a pretty expensive experiment.  I regret it, the spouse doesn’t.  But I also regret spending so much on law school, and the spouse maintains it was a good idea.

Once we have the kid and move, I’m going to be job hunting, but I need to decide what I want to do with my life.  I’m not sure what my next career will be, but if anyone has suggestions (other than another variation of entrepreneurship) I’d be happy to hear them!
