So I finally decided to put all my expenses into YNAB, and see if that will make it a bit easier to visualize my expenses each month.

In terms of overall, I’ve spent about $9,500 and brought in $7,500, so I only have another $2,000 to earn before I’ve broken even since the beginning of the firm.  I also have about $1,500 outstanding right now, so I’m getting really close to the break-even point.

In addition, I have about $1,500 in my account, which will get me through the next couple months without a family money infusion.  I also have about $3,750 in savings for taxes/desperate need operating expenses so I’m feeling pretty good about the upcoming year.  As long as I don’t have to take any more family money that’s $700 a month to fund IVF, or pay down debts or just provide living expenses while the spouse takes time off to travel with me.
